# View Historical Keyword Rankings

**Why do you need historical keyword ranking data?**

* Assess the effectiveness of your SEO strategies over time by monitoring increases or decreases in keyword rankings.
* If certain keywords have lost positions, you can investigate and make adjustments to improve their performance.
* Measure the impact of changes you've made to your website, such as updating meta tags or content.

To view historical rankings of your website, follow these simple steps:

1. Go to the project you set up earlier. Find the specific page you want to check website ranking history. The **Keywords column** shows the number of keywords each page ranks for.
